Barbara Worth Junior High School provides a safe, clean environment for students, staff, and volunteers. The school is situated on nine acres. School facilities were built in 1941, and modernized in 1992.

Beginning with the 2009-2010 school year, the weekly minimum day will be changed from each Friday to each Wednesday. Student dismissal times on these Wednesdays will also change as follows:
Grades K-3 12:50 p.m.
Grades 4-6 1:00 p.m.
Grades 7-8 1:30 p.m.
