The CAP Council is a private non-profit organization that has been helping families of Imperial County since 1978, in an effort to prevent child abuse. The mission of the Child Abuse Prevention council is to prevent child abuse through parent/community education. The CAP Council takes a pro-active approach by reaching families before the crisis begins by equipping parents with necessary skills that will allow them to handle the stress of parenting and to better nurture family relationships.
