Man and woman accused of smoking pot in front of three kids

A Brawley woman and a Los Angeles man were arrested on child endangerment charges Thursday night. Police say they were smoking marijuana in front of three young children.
Brawley police say they got an anonymous call around 10 p.m. about possible drug use inside a car parked in an alley near 100 Main Street. When officers arrived they found Martha Renteria, 25, and Jose Hernandez, 23, reportedly smoking marijuana. In the car with them were a four-year-old, a seven-year-old and a 10-year-old.
Renteria and Hernandez were jailed and the police took the youngsters into protective custody.
