Philip Earl Vandergriff

Philip was ushered into the presence of the Lord unexpectedly on May 7, 2009 from a car accident.

He was born in El Centro and grew up in Seeley. He graduated from Imperial High School and married the late Laurie Teague-Vandergriff in 1997.

Philip is survived by children, Michael and Allyson Taylor and Devon Vandergriff; his mother, Bobby Johnson; and father, Rocky Vandergriff and wife, Norma.  He is also survived by his siblings, Trena, Jason, and Kerstin Huff and Adela and Kyle Johnson.

When he lived in the valley, he was employed by Duggin’s Construction and later became a long-time employee of El Centro Motors.  He was a joy in all of our lives.  He will be missed by extended family members, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, Grandma Boone, Grandma Wallace, and friends.

Phil was preceded in death by his wife, Laurie Vandergriff; his mother, Judy Vandergriff; and his grandparents, Harry and Mabel Vandergriff.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Community Church on Wednesday, May 13th at 11 a.m.
